LineUndrawn has led on community engagement for Heating Swaffham Prior since May 2019. We have secured significant community support, taking the project to its current detailed design stage.
Heating Swaffham Prior is a pioneering project nationally, and has received significant support from Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, BEIS and HNIP. It represents the UK’s first major retrofit project at village scale and is positioned to be a replicated project throughout rural England.
We have held over 20 events and public meetings to engage with the diverse village population (p.830). Throughout the project development we have presented technical, legal and financial information in accessible formats – enabling meaningful engagement with residents in this highly innovative project.
G0 Grafham, Great Staughton, and Perry
Parish Councils
Grafham, Great Staughton and Perry are 3 villages located in Huntingdonshire. The three Parish Council’s have come together to realise an innovative community partnership to develop a heat network proposal uniting the three villages.
The project is still its infancy, with the feasibility study due to kick-off this November. In the meantime, we have launched a project website for the villages, building brand recognition within their communities.
